A very cool slice of life from the 1770s, decorated the way it would have looked back when the Emerson’s owned it. Ralph Waldo Emerson and Nathaniel Hawthorne lived here, and you can still see poems and notes Hawthorne and his wife wrote to each other on the windows using her wedding ring. If you love early American and literary history, definitely tour it!
